Milton Stanley Livingston, 1905-1986. Worked with E. O. Lawrence at Berkeley from 1931-1934 on the development of the cyclotron. He then taught at Dartmouth and Cornell before joining the Dept. of Physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1938.
